Chapter 3. Application Vault Workflow
The workflow of Application Vault is divided into two parts: management
of installation packages and management of applications themselves.

By managing an installation package, the following actions are meant: uploading of a
package into the system, its verification, its registration in the
centralized repository, its upgrade in the system and its removal. All
operations of this stage can be performed only by Plesk administrator
and are not accessible for customers. Administrator has information of
the following kind: number of domains each application is installed on,
required resources, and also the information on whether this
application is free or commercial. Administrator can change the way of
an application distribution through the control panel. This functionality can be accessed in the control panel
at Server->Application Vault. |
By managing an application, the following actions are meant: installation of an application on the selected domain, its initial setup, reconfiguration and its removal from the domain. These actions can be performed by the users, the selected domain belongs to. Users can only see free applications and those commercial ones they purchased.
This functionality can be accessed in the control panel at Domains->Domain name->Application Vault.
